4 wheel kit install question

Just installing the hurricane 4 wheel kit, there is a 1/8 step to the shaft. Is this normal or should I take 1/8 out of the middle spacer?

I have another vendors 4th wheel kit and mine was the same, it’s normal. You need that 1/8” so everything gets squeezed together when you tighten both bolts.

When you tighten both sides I’m guessing it will be a smidge less. Your good
