We were able to ride on the 4th of July this year! :-o
Pretty good snow and a blue bird day!! The big mountain is Mt Baker WA
We packed a couple of ice chests and a garbage can full of snow, then brought it back to the friends and family BBG/picnic, for the "kids" to have a 4th of July snowball fight!

THATS INSANE!!! I am so jealous of you guys! Im almost tired of summer already, between processing fish and construction season here in ak Im about ready for the winter to come, well maybe not yet hunting is right around the corner, I wish I could be riding tho! Nice pics

You missed out Ruffy ;):D On top of that it was a blue bird day!
Pretty sure this was the last weekend though, the nice weather we have been getting is melting it fast.
Speaking of birds, there were hummingbirds flying around up there. Kinda cool!

How long is your riding season really? All year?

The start time can vary from season to season, usaully late Nov-early Dec. Sometimes we'll get a bunch of snow in Oct and we can ride on it. Often what happens though is we will get a warm front move in and melt it off. Then we have to wait untill Nov-Dec.
Average ending time is late May to early-mid June.
Most years we try to get one last ride in for June. Last year it was the 1st or 2nd weekend. The year before we rode on father's day, which I believe is the 3rd weekend in June.
The worst season I can remember was mid Dec and we were done by late April early May.

I buddy rode 11 months once, he missed out on Sept. He had to travel up north to Canada to the ice fields for the August ride and from what I understand it took quite a bit of effort to get the sleds to the snow!

It's the same down here in Bend. Still lots of snow here too. Mt Bachelor (Ski area) opened up for skiing for the 4th of July weekend.

Ambition was my enemy this July...... Could have ridden in Central WA as well, had I taken the time from water skiing........ NICE PICS, I loved riding Baker when I lived in Bellingham.
