Hey

i have been researching online about adding a 4th rear idler to my 121 nytro.

i have a 4th 7" wheel that matches the rest, i looked online and found a photo/page with measurements to add a 4th wheel but the measurements are different for what i have. it says to take out the long center bushing and cut 108mm and 28mm out of it but the 28mm piece im assuming is to copy the inner spacer to keep the 4th wheel between the lugs like the 3rd wheel already is, but stock my bushing measures 24mm not 28.. i dont think they would be two different measurements. below the online measurements it states "for monoshock skid use these bushings" says use this spacer and that spacer (.972" and 4.379") the .972" spacer would measure out to what my stock 3rd wheel bushing/spacer is .972" = 24mm

im sure what im going to do will end up right i am just curious if anyone else ran in to this issue and what you did.

i am going to cut a 24mm bushing out of the big center one to match my other stock 24mm bushing, and then measure the bearing width and remove that to compensate for the new wheel and i should be good?

using the online specs of 28mm and 108mm would put the wheel right on the inner lugs so its obviously no good for me and maybe others.

Don't off hand remember the measurements but u are on the right track. I've done it a few times. Beats the price of the 4th wheel kits at the local shops, especially if ur like me and have dozens of old wheels n spacers n stuff laying around anyways.

I took the short and long center bushings set on end next to each other. Scribed a line around the long bushing. Next I set short bushing on top of bearing, scribed another line on long bushing. Cut between the lines.
