I have a customer that just bought a 2017 Yamaha sidewinder xtx Le 141 and wanted a 500 Mile service. I have been looking everywhere to see what that involves and what maintenance It would need. If anyone could help me out that would be great!
The dealer usually does it for waranty reasons. It is not required that the dealer does it though as long as the owner keeps records that it was done. The oil needs changed in the engine and chain case. The chain and track needs adjusted and all bolts should be checked to make sure they are still tight on suspension and steering components. My dealer does it and only charges for the oil and filter because they want to see the sled and go through it completely since they will have to deal with warranty claims. I know this isn't normal but these little things are why I'll only deal with these guys from now on.
