Well; just rolled 600 miles on xtx.
Rode with 800 e-tech
09 800R
09 1200 renegade hopped to the nutz
2010 renegade 1200 stock.
Didn,t ride as fast as usual due to overcast day but still averaged 60-70 mph on trails.
1st fill at 60 miles
Apex took $24 premium at $1.14 per litre. Tank showed 3 bars remaining on guage but took 21 litres to fill to top.
800 e-tech took premium $23
1200 s took $23 regular gas at $1.04 per litre.
09 800R took $26 premium
Apex & e-tech got the best gas mileage at right around 16.5 cdn mpg.
I am seeing 10,700 rpm after only 600 miles.
Sled pulls like a mo-fo.
Big brown box of parts from quebec probably gonna get installed this week!
I have data from our test track to see how much brown box of parts improves performance!!!
Best winter in 10 years here. Tons of snow & trails are amazing.

Tell me that brown box isn't covered with drool. I give you credit for your willpower. PS worst winter in 10 years everywhere else. Even Tughill, NY's Mecca, has only about 4 inches.

I just rode the southern end of tug hill yesterday. 8 or so inches at flat rock, and around 2-3 feet in Pulaski, Parish, and Redfield area. overall a decent ride. but still need more snow!

sounds like the XTX is overall a completely different animal than the previous gen "crossover" LTX Apex was

Agreed. I owned an '06 Attak, took an '11 (std) Apex for a spin today. There is absolutely no comparison. The '11 throttle response is instant 2-stroke-like. The '11 feels like it has much more power througout the entire powerband. The EPS is great. This was a demo sled, I was too giddy, didn't even notice how many miles on it, probably wasn't even broken in yet & trail conditions were abysmal so I couldn't let 'er rip. The ride was breig but was enough to know the '11 Apex is the sled to have! I'm pulling the trigger on one if we ever get any friggen snow in Maine!
BTW, Keith Wood of Woody's was generous to let me try this sled, I highly recommend Woody's Performance. Thanks Keith!!

We are having one of the worst winters here on the north east, At least someones having fun. Why do you run premium in a stock sled. Gas got to be expensive up there it is down here, seems like a waste of money.

How are you running performance wise with the Doo's you mentioned? Especially the 1200 with mods. Just curious if you know what I mean.

The 2011 apex specifies premium fuel.

Specifies, but doesn't *require*. Its just to give you some extra breathing room and will work just fine on regular.... it even has a self preservation mode so it won't blow up, even if it ever *does* need it.

I want every last 1/10 of 1 hp i can get! I also lost 200 rpm on my one time fill of regular.

Thanks for the review, its nice to be a fellow owner and being able to compare results. Helps alot.

On another note no wonder why those new '11 etecs are getting such great mileage. Snow tech magazine reported BRP had a recall on them already, a lot of sleds have had malfuntioning fuel guages, guages were showing 2 to 3 bars left and were right dry lol
