800 mile ride xtx fwiw

Spent 5 days on my xtx in and near fort kent maine. I did 800 miles. Only changes to sled were lowering front a bit to help ease turning a bit. I had zero problems with sled. Did some fast trail rideing and only things i want to change are the stock skis and put the trail tank on. Top speed was 107 on the gps. At the time i had a half tank of fuel and a tunnel full of snow and ice. My buddy with a mxz700 told me my fuel tank was too small when we got there. I had the last laugh when he was pumping twice as much fuel in at gas stops when we both did the same miles. I found mine to be near 15mpg. The xtx is a fun sled to ride would never take my old apex back. I think for next year ill add some fuel storage get some better skis and tripple rate springs. Oh didnt burn a drop of oil either mobil 1 0w30. Buddys spent a ton on two smoke oil.

I did a ride with a buddy on a 800 Doo same km when we stopped for gas my fill up was $15 his was $21. I dont think the 7 gal tank is a problem at least not for me.

yeah my fuel mileage is great also
the small tank isnt an issue
there were a couple M8's in out crew that burned through a whole tank of fuel to my 1/2 tank
