Now that I have a backcountry and 20T gear installed, at WOT on the lake the highest rpm I had was 8700. Is this acceptable, or what weights should I use in the clutch?

8700 is pretty bang on. 86-8900 is sweet spot.

Just so everyone knows, with these mods I now top out at 80mph.

I was riding in fairly fresh snow on the lake, not packed at all
i have mounted ulmers clutch kit in my 2011 xtx 250 km (19 teeth top geer and 1,75 back country stud), i have seen 84 mph and 8750-8900 rpm in 8 inch powder snow whit is under, soo the grip was very bad.
It wil be nice to test the machine on hard packet snow

There can be 10-15 mph diff in top end in different snow conditions.
i dont care if the snowmobile make the 90 or 100, it´s the time up to 90 and 100 thats is importen, and that the engine would pull full in deep snow.
Allso i think it´s not so good for the 1,75 studs to to long and fast runs
