8FK-23711-00BK ski bottoms? Skis are finally mounted to my 2012 XTX!

Okay , sorry for delay. Busier than I thought.
Top loop space is .9435
Bottom space 2.6555
From center bolt to center I get 12¾ .
The loop bolt length are the same as yours.
My measurements were low budget tape measurements, lol, after your numbers came in I had to go out to get proper measurements, hahahhahaha...........low & behold that didn't pan out as the battery in my fricken caliper went for a crap so I ended up with more accurate low budget tape measurement results, lol! 15/16th's top, almost same, still 3", can shave off a bit & 12 7/8ths center o center, not hole to hole, kinda concerned about that one as these hoops are not flexible & have very little give.
Thanks IH8CROWS, ski bottoms will be in early this week!

Maybe heat gun on the loop in a certain spot to get that little bit of give you need?

Just got the ski bottoms today, only $250cdn with the longer bolts!
Northernsledder, steiner, IH8CROWS or anyone, do you know if the spindle bushing (#13 in the pic) goes the full width of the ski saddle or only the width of the spindle? The saddle on the mountain ski is 1" wider than my 2012 saddle, wondering if the spacer bushing (#14 in pic) on either side of the spindle goes over the spindle bushing or butts up beside the spindle bushing and fits over the bolt. Thanks

I'm pretty sure it butts up to the spindle bushing and over the ski bolt.

Yikes, I priced out those little spacer bushings, they cost 15 bucks a piece from Yamaha x 4 = $60!!! Definitely have to make my own, lol!!
There are a lot of side forces on them washers.
I think $60 is cheap for a part that will cheap your steering system tight.

OK, the only thing I found around the garage that I could make spacer bushings out of was an old spindle bushing & a piece of pipe, bushing inside bushing to make bushing, lol!

I am pretty sure I can make some bushings just as good if not better than the OEM ones for around $59 less, lol.

I would just cut some from some correct diameter plumbing pipe or simular
The only problem with plumbing pipe is that if you use one that has the correct hole size for the bolt it won't have enough overall diameter. Need it to have 25/64, 10mm hole & the outer diameter of the bushing should be approx 1"

Too bad you are so far away, I could make you some on the lathe.
Thanks anyway TBaysledhead!
What material are ski bushings made of anyway, steel or aluminum? The reason I am asking is because I could probably find an old snowmobile axle, cut them to 12mm pieces ( the width I need) then drill out a 10mm holes. Not sure if aluminum is strong enough though, will they wear at the ends?

All the ones I've seen have been steel because are clamped in there to hold the collar that goes through the bushings stationary. The ski then pivots on the collar.
