Did 4 days of riding up in St. Zenon with four friends and I have to tell you the trails have hardly ever been this good! :D AWESOME!!!!!

I tested the 13 MM sway bar and it works well, It's a big improvement over the stock 11MM that came with my 04 Warrior, but it does not eliminate ski lift!!!

I also tested the O/S/O primary spring and shimming the secondary with 5/16 lock washers for an overdrive effect, I tried this setup on several lakes up there and the most I could get out of it was 113 MPH on the speedo! Conditions on the lake where hard packed snow and 5-10 degrees out :( I was not impressed and I can not reccomend making this change :(

My friend John had his new Rage and I have to tell you all that I was impressed after riding it! It's more nimble than the Warrior and easier to ride on trails, and it only gives up a little in the power department! Yes the Warrior is a little bit faster but not by much! Mostly top end! Which is hardly ever used, except on lakes!
But what the RX-1 and Warrior do to the two strokes in gas mileage, The Rage does the same to the Warrior :tg:
At one stop our 2 smoke, stinky buddies who where driving an 04 Rev 800 took 29.5 litres, 2- MXZ 700's 31 litres, my 04 Warrior took 28 litres, his 05 Rage took 24 litres ;)!

At another place the MXZ 700 took 31 litres, and the Rage took 21 litres and the rest of us got nothing because they ran out of gas  We rode in to the closest town and filled the rest of the sleds.

Where do you stay?? We make three trips a year there and stay at LeRefuge (Crazy Al's across the lake from LeCabanon).

This last trip we stayed at Real Masse. Two more trips coming up, First week of FEB we are staying at Le Cabanon, and the third week of Feb back at Real Masse.
Maybe we will see you up there?

Never stayed at REal Masse, but, I must say they have the best food and great hospitality !!!

Bill Tell me about the rest of your setup..

Did you do the washer trick i told you about on the transfer rods?

What are your front shocks set at.. ? What skis do you have? What carbides?

I will be glad to help you tune in your sled better..

No mod will totally ever get rid of ski lift on a warrior as you are always fighting the longer track and plus the sled is super heavy.. But correct setup and driver input will put it to a very minimum..

I bet even thought you had a small amount of skilift .. you still didnt get the uneasy feeling you usto when hitting corners.!!

Brian, I was going to pick up the washers at a dealer up there who responded to an e-mail request for the 5mm washers, and he said that he had them in stock, when I got there he had sold them to someone else.I backed off on the front springs 4 turns, I have stock skis with 6" carbides, and yes it is better than it was! Thanks for all the info.............Bob

Leaving for St. Zenon on tuesday I head there are trails closed for logging. Is that true? I posted on the Trail reprot forum but very little response

Yamawarrior,
Go to zenwaiter.com.

Yes, the trails are a little different from other years. 350 is closed for logging from 345 juction toward Koubec's and 318 no longer comes into 345 betw LaCabonon and 350. It now comes onto 345 above LaCabonon toward the dam. Also this new section of 318 is not marked very well. Enjoy, with this cold weather coming it should be excellent.

Thanks for the info. I'll let you guys know how it was when i get back. Wont be able to get to a computer till 1/24/05

COUNTING THE FRIGGIN MINUTES TILL WE LEAVE GRAUSER!!!!!!! can't belive it's jan 14 and i have not rode yet, this weather sucks see you soon gary.
