just a few thoughts on the 900 rmk,ive uncrated 11 of these this week and prepped them.first ,these things vibrate like no other sled ive ever ridden, the air box is a pain in the ash, while fixing a water leak on one of them(of course it was on the backside down low, a real biotch)i weighed the can 24lbs.its as big as a suitcase,.overall in my opinion its not even close to yamaha Quality.

Interesting. Any chance you weighed the sled as it comes out of the box?
Real interested to hear the acutal numbers of the 166.
Thanks

Did Polaris get the axle thing worked out? The last thing I heard was they had a Stop Sale bulletin out because of improper heat treating done on the axles.

Just a quick update of what ive been hearing on the 900s.Weve had a few people riding the past week or so.They seem to like the balance and overall power of the 900. weve had to do some clutching mods.ive heard of one broken drive shaft locally. they seem to be running a bit hot,pol rep says this has been a problem. we are now wrapping the coolant hoses that run by pipe with heat tape.also putting heat tape on under side of air box by pipe.

also, for people doing clutch work, the torque on the primary is 96 ft.lbs,i mention this because on the 800 its only half that.
