I just bought my new used 06 Attack and the other week I was on this sight and someone said that they had A arm protectors that they were shearing off 3" trees with them. I can't seem to find the post doing a search. I pretty sure they were different than the Plastic ones that are seen mostly. If anyone recalls this post and can find it could you please let me know. Thanks in advance

Try some clear plastic gas tank/fender protector for ATVs. You cut it to size(comes in a roll), stick it on, is thick enough to protect but you can't see it. Works great.

ME TOO
I haven't cut any trees down yet but they sure help save the paint on the a arms. Maybe this year I can try to be a Lumberjack with them.

Nope, They are pretty slick, so anything that does get on them slides right off

Those may save the paint, but your bulkhead isn't gonna be any stronger and cutting down 3" trees is just gonna break something else on the sled.

LOL!! I have story to go along with this stuff....long story short..I sell auto parts..a retail customer, bosses brother, REAL anal, needed this stuff to cover his mailbox with. WHY? I don't know...and from that time on, we have called it MAILBOX TAPE!!
It is actually from 3M. Clear adhesive tape. They even make pre cut kits for the front of cars to protect against stone chips.

I run the 3m tape on my sxr, it helps but the heaveir branches sticking up thru the trail rip it off. S the arms have to be redone every couple of years.

Another option is to have the arms powder coated. I need to do that myself next Summer on the lower arms. Its A LOT stronger then paint. I think having them chrome powder coated would look pretty trick.
