New to 4 strokes and yamaha but willing to give it a try. Sled is a Nytro MTX with GT25(8-9 lbs) front mount and just brought it home today.

Questions: what is the rev limiter set for, sled sounds like it is hitting limiter right after it is pinned and revs to a little over 9000 RPM and makes a couple of missing type sounds

What should the sled be clutched for RPM ?

Dumb question, how do you check oil level ? (no manual with the sled)

Sled is stock with exception of turbo and clutching, any known defects or problems with these sleds that I should be getting on top of ?

thanks

What is your elevation?
What model of nytro?
What is your exact clutching in it now?
What are the rpm,s from a dead stop to top end at wide open throttle?
Need that info to help.
rpm,s should be low 8000 rpm & climbing to 8800ish rpm.

Elevation at home is 3800 feet and I do some testing at home but we ride at 6000-8000 feet

Sled is a 2008 Nytro MTX
I will determine as best I can what the clutching is installed tommorow I was told it simply had heavier weights and I am not familar woth yamaha weights (Polaris for many years)
The sled revs to 9100 or maybe 9200 (hard to see) pretty much right from the start it then has almost a misfire and the RPM comes down tro 8900 or so and I have not made a full pass with the sled yet (not enough snow here at home for the moment

thanks for any help

really looking forward to dialing this sled in

By stock I mean that the chassis is stock (tunnel, front and rear suspension, OEM track)

that missfire is it hitting the rev limiter should not be going over 9100rpm on trail thats max in deeper snow you want 8600-8700 then 8900-9100 on trail
