Stick an Allen wrench or small punch into the screw head and tap it with a small hammer before you loosen it.

That's what I thought you meant.
My bud told me that trick a few years ago when he seen me struggling with a seized/tight fastener and although I thought to myself, how's that going to do anything, it actually worked!
