Anybody have a good source for replacement shafts for anti-stab kits? It seems (faulty memory) that there was a good source for shafts of all sizes online somewhere. I just can't recall.
This shaft is no different (except for size) than many cross shafts.
I will post exact measurements tonight. But the shaft diameter is designed to fit a 5/8" bore bearing (6202 - 5/8" maybe). I have 15mm bearings that don't fit of course. The shaft I have is worn from spun bearings bad enough that a new 5/8" bearing just slops around on it.
I have also considered shimming the new bearings to keep them from spinning.
Any thoughts?

Any reputable machinist could turn you one for cheap. I've made plenty of them for myself and friends. $5 worth of aluminum and about half hour's work is all it usually takes. Take your measurements or old shaft with you and get a quote.

A little late, but it just dawned on me what you were looking for. Another vote for High Perf.

Actually Hi-Perf sells the whole kit for $90.
On the other hand Wahl Bros sells the bare shaft for around $10.
I chose the latter . . .

They have the kits, like any of the others, but they also sell the components seperately. Glad you found what you were looking for.
