Will a camo 162x16x2.5 track fit on my RX1? I know I have to change to 3" pitch drivers, but how many teeth? It has a 159x16x2" track with holtz suspension on it right now
Also, where can I get new tips for my Holtz suspension? Will AC ones fit the rails?
Thank you.

I have done the samething as your doing. Yes it will fit, but not much room left. You need to go to 7t drivers. No idea about the holz ? thou. Couple buddies had them on there turbo RX1's, but really never paided attention to that part.

I have done this with great results. It is very tight and I recomend grinding all rivits smooth as possible and there are a few bolts up front that need to be shortened and if I remember right and one to use a different type. I did a search on this site and came up with good info to pull it all off. Dont know on the Holts.
Best of luck

Yes I never had a problem but it seemed like cheap insurance.
I bulit custom drop brackets when I did mine but be careful not to change the geometry of the shocks and movement in the skid if you do. I bent a shock in half on a expensive lesson in skid dynamics and free internet advice.
I did bend a bolt on the antistab once so I am sure it did something for me that day. Cheapest fix I ever got away with.

Cool, I noticed that my rail tips are worn right through and showing aluminum so I know the track is rubbin the tips. I traded the sled for a car this summer, its 03 with holtz 159, MCX 240 (runs 12/13 lbs boost) and it has a lot of lightweight bling. The #*$&@ end is jacked waayy up. Im thinking the big track might help a bit with low speed manouvering, it did on my King Cat.. What brand of anti stab saved yer azz?
I migth have read this wrong about the holz. Brain dead momment, guessing its a holz skid that replaces the yamaha parts, but still uses the yamaha rails. If so, just get the end caps from your local dealer. Unless somebody say used a/c, doo, cat rails. Can you post of pic of the rear suspension? Or email to me, then I will be able to tell. Back in 03, holz didnt make rails.

Here are a few pics to ponder. I see no HRP or Holz on the rails themselves. YES, that is a homemade front bumper and a Ford solenoid.

That sled is either a 03 or 04, just phone up local yami dealer & order yamaha rail caps. Those are yamaha rails, holz used to make a kit that helped keep the front end down. It mounted to the rear arm, mounted hortziontal, then you pumped the shock up/down as you like. Why are the stock fuel pumps still on? Image being a mcx, there is an electric fuel pump already.

Well, thats a good question. Im fairly new to the turbo thing, but it looks like there ia a vaccum or pressure (?) switch in line with the power supply to the electric fuel pump. Maybe it only runs the electric one when it needs it? Good news that its yamaha rails, with it wearing the front off like that I think I will build an anti stab for it, it will be quite stabbable with 3" pitch im thinking... Yep its an 03, 7500km, and thanks for the help.
Seems abit odd that there on the sled still. Guess if sled runs fine, might aswell leave them on. I know bender kits kept for a back up. This site is full of helpful people, image somebody will know why there. Do you know if the brgs behind the clutch have been greased or replaced? About the only thing that will give you greif, otherwise, great setup up you have there.

Ok, one more question. How much voltage should I have from the battery when the sled is running? The battery went dead while riding, and the sled crapped out quite bad and the speedo and warning lights were out, I made it back to the shop but it was not happy. I charged the battery and it runs fine now, but how do I test if the sled is charging properly? Right now the battery voltage is less when its running. I guess thats 2 questions...
