I have a 2005 rx1, with an mc express turbo. I currently have the stock track, 151. I have been told that if i want to go with a 162 challenger extreme, i will need a tunnel extension, extroverted drivers with a 3 inch pitch , and some brackets for clearance I assume. If there are any other tracks that would suit mountain riding better, let me know. Also can someone explain what these brackets are that i need and where i can buy it. Any advice would be appreciated as too what the best direction is.

A turboed rx-1 definitely could use more than a 151in stock track, and a 162 would fit the bill. Unfortunately, sticking just a longer track under what is otherwise a stock rx-1 chassis will just give you a massively powerful, massively crappy handling, tank. A turbo adds weight to what was originally an incredibly heavy, poor handling, stock sled. If you just want to drag race or run straight up wide open hills you might be ok. If your sled runs well, and you are serious about riding it in the mountains you should probably bite the bullet and do what it takes to make it rideable.

Here is a starting point: http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=34170 There are lots of other posts that also share good ideas.

Does your sled have any mods other than the turbo?

long tracking

Well i did own a 2004 , it handled horribly, I then purchased the 2005 , and the rear skid being totally different seemed to help alot. How much will my handling decrease with the longer track and also , are there any other aftermarket skids that are around 1500 bux ? Any reponse would help.

Mountain Master (Ekholm) has always been an awesome skid in the hills, and he has a new one coming out this winter.
I am going to post pics asap.

I have always heard good things about ekholm , a website in this day and age sure would be nice, whoever owns ekholm would surely benefit from that. Anyway, any information on the new upcoming skid regarding, desingn, price, and eta would help, thanks for the reply. Also can you guys reccomend any other deadly mountain suspensions.
