Yesterday I was out for a ride when my track picked up a rock about 2-3 inches in diameter and smashed it in between the extro teeth and the heat exchanger causing some major dents to the heat exchanger and one squished tooth on my extros but thankfully NO LEAKS because it would have been a long 50 mile tow. The 1.75" track was probably no help to the situation... Anyone ever have anything like this happen to them?? And also is their anything should be worried about internally or in behind the heat exchanger??

Its an open core exchanger so I think you should be fine as long as there is no leaks. I did the same thing last weekend but split mine open. I had to remove it, weld it up and reinstall. So i think youre lucky cause its a bitch of a job.

That heat exchanger is riveted onto the back of the bulkhead. It is fastened right in there, not meant to be changed easily. Looks like a brutal job to replace it.
However, since that thing is responsible for at least 2/3rds of the Nytro's cooling I would want is fixed. If the flow of coolant is restricted even a bit, its cooling ability will be diminished.

IMO if it's not punctured I would say your good to go. It's been talked about before and the exchanger does not have a core such as a rad, it's more of a tank.

even if it did crack or cut it, all you would need to do is remove the track and drive shaft and it would be easily welded without even removing it from the sled. its not a typical rad like In a vehicle, its more of just a tank, my brother got his welded up on his 440/800 mxzx after throwing a stud. 3 guys threw it in the truck without a skid, dropped it off at the welder and a day later it was pressure tested to 30psi (tank only) and it went another 1500km before selling it.
