I am thinking the "Delta" frame surrounding the engine compartment could be used to hold the oil. If one were to mount the pump input on the forward (lowest) portion of the frame the oil would naturally migrate back to the pump input (unless you were climbing vertically).
This doesn't remove the weight from the front end as stated earlier but this hollow frame is a resevoir just waiting to be filled AND it would eliminate the oil tank all together.

I heard today that Yamy will be comming up with a '06 4stroke REValike model. Anybody else heard anything?

I live in Stow on Chautauqua Lake. I grew up in Randolph so I usually ride from my dads out there since he lives right on the main trail. Otherwise we leave from Long Point and head whereever. Where do you usually ride?
I keep my boat in stow at the power boat club. I live in Sunset Bay. We ride Ellery, Lake Effects, and Snow Goers trails mostly. Mayville a little.
