Trying to adjust the headlight on my wife's vector - pointing the headlight up farther. Manual shows how to adjust it using a screw located behind the assembly as you have the hood up. I don't see any screw, just a 10mm nut with a washer behind it with teeth. Tried adjusting this by turning the nut clockwise to move the light up - nut turns but it does nothing.

This shouldn't be so difficult. Is there really a screw that I can't find or could something be wrong with the nut not moving the headlight?

Thanks,

Smurf

The bolt might be a 10mm but it does have a phillips screw option to adjust. You have to remove the top cover where your ignition and DC plug are. Also the bracket that covers your steering post. It is very easy and the wires are long enough on your ignition and DC that you do not have to disconnect. Based on your post it seems like you may have adjusted the wrong screw. Did you remove the top covers? The manual is confusing regarding this adjustment.

No I didn't remove the top covers. Just tried turning the bolt under the shroud which looks like it would be in the right spot for adjusting the beam. There was no "visible" Phillips screw opening which the manual indicates there is.

The sled is 3 hours away from me and I'll be there this weekend. I can't picture the cover or bracket your referring to. My headlight assembly is all part of the hood when I raise it up. Are you sure your thinking of a 2006 Vector? I will definitely take a good look at it this weekend. I was rushed last time.

Thanks for the response

sorry smurf you are right I see you have an 06' not 08' different shroud/hood. I am not familiar with the adjustment on the 05-07 models
