I read the thread on adjusting the sit-in on the apex GT thread. But - how do you go about spinning the black and silver rings on the rear spring. DO you spin them together ? Is one of them act like a lock nut so you just loosen the outer one , then adjust the one nearest the sping to where you want the pre-load, then tighten the outer one back in when done ?
The silver one is the locking. So, unscrew the silver first, then adjust the black one at your preferance and then, screw back the silver lock to complete the job.

Just remember too much preload and you will coil bind the spring. Stay within the specs. If you don't have the owners manual. Heres the link, the Olins is measured differently than the others. Page 26

Get the weight off the suspension with stand or lay sled on side. Watch your knuckles & get ready to grunt. Try to get your spring length correct as not an easy adjustment.
