looking for opinions on used Yamaha 4 stroke. Looking to purchase an older sled, cheap, 3500 ish, to have as a spare for friends, backup, etc. I run all two strokes now and looking for the closest thing as far as weight and best bang for the buck. Thinking nitro, apex or attak with 144 xtx because of tipped up rails. Any advice or references to read would be appreciated. I mostly do ditch banging but this sled would probably be used for all. Also would like something that would handle a cat cutter for pulling grandkids thanks for any help
If I have to jump up 1k on price I am okay with that, again best bang for the buck.

Apex, any year. Early ones needed some upgrades, more then likely they have been addressed by current owner.

If it's a friends-and-family sled that you are providing they probably don't have much experience if they aren't bringing their own. A Vector would probably be more appropriate and still a lot of fun.

yea.. an ltx vector would be cheap and awesome. 2010 and up. can be had for $3500 with low milage. Wife put 10k miles on a 2010 without an issue. now the 13 she has is eps which is better still .
