I remember reading once, probably from AJ, that the NTK sensors are more resistant to being poisoned by leaded race fuels.
I keep killing the AEM / Bosch sensor, willing to try a different brand.
Anyone know what NTK part number will work as a replacement for the Bosch 17205 (0 258 007 206) / AEM 30-2001?

Make sure the voltage table is the same Maury. You can use any sensor you want but you must change the calibration of the sensor (if its not the same) or your afr will be off!. This is assuming your using it on your Motec.

Wildman,
Thanks for the tip!
I am actually still just using the AEM readout and only sending the signal to the MoTeC for logging purposes, not closed loop at this time. So I don't think the AEM can be changed, probably has to be a plug and play sensor.
But I agree, it can't be off at this level of power now.

I believe its a NGK NTK 24302 is what your looking for and they work way better than the bosch sensor.

I got a NTK 24320 and the plug is the same as the Bosch 17205 (0 258 007 206) / AEM 30-2001 sensor. Haven't installed it yet to see if it works, holding off until the current Bosch I'm using dies...
I had been getting my replacement Bosch sensors at a good pric from Ballenger Motorsports...

Sorry I made a mistake it is the 24320 sensor I found the empty box and is a direct replacement for the AEM gauge.

i changed my sensor too the 24320 and presto, works like a top. i'd like to say thx to ernie and mauri for all their help. now i'm hoping to dial it in and go out and get 2nd place behind ernie, lol
. i saw your sled get 134mph last yr in gravenhurst. the best we've got out of mine is 123mph. i was told by the yamaha dealer that the sleds in my class run 135mph usually so i really don't have a snowballs chance, but hey it's all fun. i'm hoping with some of the probelms behind me i can focus on getting this thing adjusted right and maybe seeing 130mph in 1320'.
hey, the sleds not even running right and i blew the doors off a new cat with a kit on it. arnie's building a new cat so we can have a race. i'll keep you guys posted on the outcome.
