My AEM gauge was flakey starting day 2 of my trip to the UP last week. I have had sensors fail in the past but this one was intermittant between reading what is the right AF and full on lean "---"

On a lake at 60mph it would read correctly but if I stabbed the throttle it would go full lean, if I trusted the gauge I would back down as the sled would surely not want to run 10lbs at 17:1 or leaner but it ran perfect, coming into a corner on a hard decel where it normally reads full rich it would read "---" and sometimes the "---" would stay there and not go away then I would look down and it was fine. The sled never missed a beat.

Anyone had a sensor bad do this? If mine is bad that is the 2nd one in 1500 miles. Running 91 gas all the time. Frustrating and it ruined my trip because I was constantly second guessing if the GEMS was failing and my sled was actually very lean but they would pop or something if they are that lean right? The sled ran perfect and never known anything was wrong. I should have tapped over the gauge and ignored it....

That might be what it is I have been trashing the zx2 lately with 4 yr old shocks they need a recharge as I have bottomed hard a few times.

My oxygen sensor went off the scale lean on rough sections, then runs normal after restarting. It was the first sign of leaking donuts.

Ok cool, so everything was working properly just got a leak in there somewhere.

Time to pull it apart...

Thanks 4x4 exactly what I was hoping to here.
