AEM Tru Boost - electronic boost controler

I don't know that the HKS is any better than the Turbosmart. It appears as though they both have the same features. Not sure about the HKS on boost with RPM. They say it does, but does not go into detail too much about it. I like the looks of the Turbosmart being a normal round gauge that can be mounted into a cup or pod. But I don't know that there is any difference in operations.

How can I get one? they say USA only....

I usually get stuff shipped to freeport NY and go pick from there, but they also says Billing adress must match SHipping adress..

Are they really don't want any canadian to purchase their #*$&@? :die

I want one that allow me to have a 'push to pass' feature...

There are a lot of manual boost controllers out there, I choose not to use them but If I had to use one the Hallman is one of the best I have seen.

All manual boost controllers experience some sort of boost spike and fall, only an elecronic boost controller can flatline the boost, and Yes the HKS has a push to pass option, called scramble.

They also have the ability to create custom boost curves for the more experienced tuner.

AEM Tru boost

I know those that have the HKS believe they are the best & maybe they are... My point with this post was the AEM tru Boost is much cheaper at around $285 where as the e-boost is around $480 & the HKS is around $600... I just don't buy into the "if it's more expensive it must be better" theory...

Does anyone actually have any experience with the AEM tru boost? No guesses, actual experience....

Thanks in advance
Tony

I didn't want to bash any product but Yes I have personal experience with the AEM true boost, all I can say to be nice is NOT SO TRUE.

Thanks for the input Ted,
Does it read incorrectly or does it allow spikes? . I've been hoping to get some feedback on this since last Dec..

You can pm me if you'd like.
Tony

I would like to know as well!

What is wrong with it?

You may not want to bash a product, but it would be great to get the real hard facts about it BEFORE doing a purchase!

Thank you ted, you rock!
