whats the benefit to changing the starter jets? Besides using more fuel on start up and possibly increasing chance of flooding it on start up?

Ahhh, you only increase the chance of flooding, IF, you jet up... Right? What about jetting down?

Why do you have to crack the throttle? To get more AIR, because it is RICH already. IF you jet down the starter jet, then you won't need the extra air from cracking the throttle and it'll start much better..
