my 2005 rx1 is not pulling rpm after we stop for a break.when we pull away it gets lazy to rpm till i run for a half mile or so.clutchs are cool the only thing iam thinking i did air box mod maybe it goofing up fuel metering.when i get going then its great.what about engine temp maby its on the verge of turing light on and retarding timing till it gets cool enough.any idies?

the engine does not pull timing when hot. when you stop, everything gets hot under the hood. the carbs are sensitive to heat and will make the sled run rough. install a shut off valve in the small carb heater line and this will prevent the carbs from getting heat soaked. open the valve at least half way when running in snow dust conditions or when very cold out to prevent carbs from freezing.

do you have to rejet with air box mod?

absolutly yes. stock jetting is 135 mains. modded boxes use 165-172.5 jets. search the air intake forum for sled dogs air box mods to learn about it.
