I am looking to upgrade my skis from the stock ones to elimiate some darting and basically just improve the handling at speed. I have seen the many posts about the apex, but I wanted to see if anyone had expierence with the RS chassis and a dual runner ski.

I just installed Pilot Mountain skis on the RS Venture a couple of weeks ago. The sled drives better in the grass thats for sure but for trail results I'll have to wait another 6 months to see if the swap was worth it. I believe it will be.

I've had the Pilots, Simmons and Slydogs, out of the three I found the 07 Pilots the best all around.

Simmons are a wider ski with the carbides on the outside, hence increasing the ski width and providing more stability but they require a little more steering effort.

Simmons, Slydogs, and Pilots are all good skis and an improvement over stock. However, the way to cure darting is to shim the ski regardless of which ski is on your sled.

i've ran them all, every one. My Favorite by far is the Slydog with Bergstrom triples, skisavers and the shim.
