would it be benefical to remove the screen and filter in the airbox providing i was adding extra fuel to the 150FI motor

Possibly, but I wouldn't. You can get a direct shot of snow in the throttle bodies without something there to stop it.

ya, i considered that as well, the only reason i was thinking it might work is the fact that theres the plastic guard in front of the opening above the cdi. Right now im focusing on timing advance and adding more fuel. my windage plates are on and it will be clutched as soon as we get some snow. Just no HC's after last season's fiasco.

There should be no reason for an fuel box to go with it. If you do the modifications properly it will add the correct amount of fuel automatically as well.
