i ended up six sizes bigger had to add 3 grams per weight .it pulls better but the biggest differance is when it warms up doesent affect it as much.i didnt open the air box as much as the mod.

these engines are very forgiving as far as jetting goes. when my buddy and i bought ours in 03 we started looking for more power right away. after a 60 mile lake run at pretty much wide open, we pulled the plugs for a look. they were all as white as snow. that was the start as my buddy jetted up to 137.5 and started running faster. i now run 170 mains in a modded airbox. if you really want to know what the engine is doing, buy an 02 sensor, this ends the guesswork.

yes i agree monitor o2 but before i do that iam straightening out the suspension issue

dont know how much you modded your airbox, but i have the entire bottom cut out of mine and run 170 mains. i run an 02 sensor so i know its right. i would bet money you are running too lean. a stock rx1 can run 137.5 to 140 in cold weather and see gains.

The bottom does matters only to let more air in with less restriction so its accessable to the baffle with less restriction. Its the baffle that counts for regulating the air that gets to the carbs.

main jets

so i just looked at the manual....is changing the mains jets something i could do , or better left to the pros??
