Hi guys, I am posting this for a friend. He is having problems with the air box getting plugged with snow. Has anybody had this problem. If so what's the cure. Thanks in advance.

if your friend has had his tool kit out recently, check to see if he popped the hinge out for the air box filter service lid right above where the tool kit is. i did once because the tool kit was so iced up. thats the best bet i believe only speaking from experience hope i could help

I have 1900 miles on my 07 and for the first time the air box got frozen this winter. I did 3 days of riding in 3 feet of powder and on the 3rd day the machine wouldn't idle. The snow keeps melting while riding b ut then freezes when you stop for the day and the air box wasn't getting air. I put it in the garage over night with a heater on the front end to melt all of the snow and everything was fine. That was the first time. We were making a trail for a 250 mile dog sled at the end of this month. So as part of the trail crew we were breaking trail. I' ve done this for serverl years and never had a problem before, but we have had a lot of snow this winter.
