Just wondering what the purpose of the vent tube that goes into the rear of the air box? The other day I noticed the tube was not connected but have been riding it all season (500km plus) and did not notice any performance issues.
Also it is a pain in the A#@ to try and get it back in when you lift the air box cover and if anyone has any tricks besides removing headlight assembly.

Don't believe so, just make sure it is on there when re-assembling.
Mine is a bugger to remove so maybe your's is lose and needs to be replaced if you think it came off on it''s own?
