I am going to take the monoshock out of my sled this summer, but seeing as how I keep it 200 miles away from where I live I cannot try to do things to it every day. My question is will I need any power tools to loosen the nuts on the bolts of the transfer rod and on the monoshock. If so will an impact wrench work or do I need an air ratchet to get in the tight spots, I am also thinking that an air ratchet may not have enough power to crank the bolts loose. Or do I not have to worry about any of this and I will be able to get the bolts loose using only hand tools. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I rounded a nut with an impact...at most an air wrench after loosening by hand is advised

I took the shock out of mine this winter to move the circlip and used only hand tools. I haven't taken the whole skid out yet, but if the rear skid bolts are like I think they are, an impact may be needed. On my Polaris machines, where the bolts entered each end of a common shaft it could be a pain without an impact as there is no way to hold the shaft from turning.
