Just got a stock 05 RX1 and want to do the airbox mod. My goal is to beat a stock 06 Apex and SRX700 (I'm about 35 lbs lighter than both riders). My question is for riding in northern IL and WI would I get 165 or 170 mains? Where would I buy them and should I change the springs? I searched and found most answers but want some assurance. Also will this give me problems? I got this after dumping a problem mxz 670HO and don't want to deal with that again. Thanks!

i have the same thing done and i have 170 mains with silver springs ...you can get the just at your dealer but i donno bout the springs but i do know there mde by holtzman.....i think 165 would be ok too bc my plugs look a little rich......ps ted jennetty custom cut by air box pretty much just cut a hole on the bottom of it i had open k and n filters /ecp kit but it sucked snow would get on them and they got wet and ran like poo

rx will NOT take an Apex. 135hp to 150hp way different

Wanna bet on that with my sled dialed in with Turks clutching magic and my airbox mod it can be and was done on a field with loose snow.

The rx is 145 is it not? I figure the airbox will got the hp close and my weight offsets my sleds extra weight. I really want to take a new doo 800...

I have to agree! before I stretched my 03 I could run with the apex's on the lake no problem FI and the added HP would give them the hole shot but typically I would reel em in once she got rolling ;)!

Hey Steve its about time you showed up and posted around here!!! Nice to see you posting again missed reading your post buddy. Your RX-1 had an advantage by having such a light rider on it but I seen your 03 on the lakes and it does move.

talk to Bruce @ CB Performance, he will get you set up right, with the jets, mains, springs and plugs, Great guy to deal with and he really knows his sleds
