i've got about 700 km on my apex running 12 lbs on 92 octane pump gas and no problems as of yet with the engine. it is the first kit they sold and there was a few issues that are hopefully solved, thats always the way it is with a first time kit. the guys that are having problems probably had the head off and a valve shim fell out of place, in turn piston has hit the valves. this thing is a rocket. i ride with a friend running an mcxpress and the lag time is not even close to compairable. alpine turbo's = horsepower

This is the only true front mount turbo as far as I know for the RX-1. The turbo sits right in front of the carb rack. Only problem is not having an intercooler, that limits the maxximum HP level some. I can only imagine the throttle response of this kit.

rxrider thats a Lighting Pro turbo you are thinking of. The Alpine /Powderlites has an intercooler and it sits at the rear top of the engine.

KnappAttack - You're so right, my mistake. Sorry guys, I was a little fast and didn't pay attention when opening the link to www.lightningprollc.com and just described what I saw on there.

If you have more lag with the MCX kit, your clutching can be adjusted to get rid of it .More primary spring , a little less weight on the heal , you won't believe the difference.

what problems have you been having?i think alpine will have all the troubles worked out by the end of the season cause if they dont i will go with a mcx.
