2006 Yamaha Apex RTX
Hey folks, I just acquired a 2006 Apex that has been sitting for a couple years due to it needing the muffler replaced after a prior cobb job. I've got it disassembled to where I can do the work but a question I've got is if anyone knows the best cleaner/brightener of oxidized aluminum? Thanks

mothers is what a lot of guys use.

Mothers and a powerball.

And if you need to get it like a mirror, resort to wet sanding it. It's pretty amazing what you can do with raw aluminum and 1000/1500/2000 grit sandpaper. Then as the others have said, mothers and a powerball. Or your fingertips and rag. But they will be sore, it's rewarding, but not easy on the fingertips.

I concur with the wet sanding and then White Diamond Metal Polish...stocked at O'Reilly Auto Parts here
