donuts are a must if they have not been changed they will go out this season and when they go out they can and will if neglected take out the Y pipes the Y pipes are the expensive part. take apart and put copper donuts in and you will no longer have issues with them. if you do have 06 bars (the ones with the bolt on hook ends) you can wire the different and they will be able to get hotter than you could ever want. to do this you can either get an 07 wire harness or cut and splice the wires from serial to parallel or vise versa I don't remember the exact but search for 06 hand warmer rewire it is on here some where I found it when we were on 06 and 07 sleds. if they are 07 bars (they are one piece hooks on the end are not bolted on but part of the bars) the get yamaheaters for them and you will be glad you did.
