Wonder why they didn't show the numbers for the Ski Doo 900T.

Thanks for sharing.View attachment 148038 SRX kicked #*$&@!
Looks like 80 pounds heavier means didly-squat when u r packing 40 more horses.
I thought that 1 inch ripsaw wasn't supposed to hook up.

It doesn't hook up, look at the 0-30 MPH times. Trailing behind the 900T by almost 2 tenths. Thats traction, or lack thereof.

I don't know anybody that races to 30 mph but at 660 ft it definitely putting a hurting on all of them and after that it's all over but the crying.

Less than two tenths in 660 is hardly a hurting! All things being equal thats less than 20 HP difference at 660. In other words if said sled needed to pick up about a tenth and a half at 660, they would need to add about 15 HP to get there.
You need traction, without it a little 600 stock drag sled will kill any big bad trail sleds to 660. For reference I had stock ZRT 600's that would run low 6.70's and my ZRT 800 stocker ran low 6.30's and on good days high 6.20's @ 102 MPH all siting at the beams with no run at the lights in 660 foot.
What I'm trying to say is the 1" track IS hurting the SRX down low and that carries thru the whole run. Only thing the short lug track is good for is speed up top.

I don't know what the track conditions were, but I think 0-30mph is also where the extra weight will show up and hinder times compared to the lighter sleds. It doesn't hook up, look at the 0-30 MPH times. Trailing behind the 900T by almost 2 tenths. Thats traction, or lack thereof.
A 1.25-1.6 would probably give slightly better 0-30, but at what expense to the other end.
This sled put a serious beating on the other sleds from 30mph on.
My own experience is that the deeper lug only helps slightly, what's really needed is a lot of picks.

No substitute for lots of long carbide ice picks if your racing on hardpack/ice in front of your favorite watering hole. If your racing 1/4 mile or something and you get them 4-5 lengths in 660, it will take allot for them to run you down. Like Knapper says, a well set up 600 can kill allot of high-horsepower sleds in a short distance. If you have a 3-4 length 660 lead, they will have to have speed 30 MPH higher than you to run you down in 1/4. Don't quote me on the exact numbers but you get the idea.

Did they weigh the sleds? If so, how much heavier was the SRX than the 900T?

Wet weights prior to studding:
SRX 669 lbs
Renegade 900T 639.5
Difference = 29.5 lbs
SRX 669 lbs
Renegade 900T 639.5

That is closer than I thought they would be.
