Thanks in advance.

I run 0w40 Mobil 1. I would use 0w30 though if you start / run a lot in very cold temps.

Go with the 0-40 four stroke. I couldn't believe how quiet and smooth that mill became after throwing the Amsoil in...

I use 0W30 amsoil in mine. I just couldn't justify 10 bux a liter for a semisynthetic when I could get a full synthetic for 8.
Ran the sled last weekend in West Yellowstone when they hit a new record low of -45F, damn that was cold. No oiling problems at all with the amsoil.
I would have tried mobil but couldn't find 0w30 when it came time to buy oil.

Amsoil.....
Why is Amsoil into that "Cult Marketing"?
Is it owned / distributed by Amway or something?
Where do you buy yours?

I'd run 0w30 if you consistently start and run the machine below zero. I've run both and although any 0w... should start the same cold, the 40 seemed to turn over harder and I got some high end knock for about 15 seconds when started at -20 F with the 0w40. Both were Mobil 1 fully synthetic.

wow!
that is cold where you ride!
It usually is above 0 in our coldest months here in Rochester, NY....
probably average temp I would be riding is is about 15 degrees F
so the 40 should be good.... I think?
