ANOTHER BACK ORDERED PART DONE FOR YEAR apex stator

apex gave the code 12 and the stator is shot, telling me backordered for at least 6 weeks and we probably have a month of winter yet with the amount of snowfall we have. They are telling me none available in north america. The price suprised me at 320.00 canadian and this i guess has been a updated part twice already so must have been a problem part. If anyone knows of one please let me know. thanks a bunch

I have had stators re-wound in the past. Not for a 4 stroke but i'm sure it can be done.

Manufacturers and dealers have got to realize that the season is short, and a delay of a few weeks is simply unacceptable.

I have a brand new vector stator in the box but I just cross checked the part numbers and it's not the same. Sorry.

my friend needed parts this winter. we were told they were 3 weeks out, not in stock. i called port yamaha. they entered the part # into the computer and were able to give me the phone numbers of 2 different dealers that had the part in stock. we called those dealers and had the part the next day. I cant believe you cant do that in canada. there is some sort of parts locator system yamaha has. not all dealers have it but it is worth a few phone calls if you really want to ride.

thanks guys , ended up our dealer had a blown nytro motor there. just stole the pickup off it and running again. staotr is different but the pick up is the same. she is running.
