Just looking for some opinions here people. I bought an FX-Nytro RTX (brand new) & have managed only 70-some miles before our season has come to an end. So far this thing is simply awesome. A big leap coming off my '06 Nytro. The '06-07 Nytros are great, don't get me wrong.

Question is, should I just leave the oil in it over the summer & then run it to the 300 mile 1st service next winter, OR change it so it's pure & fresh for storage?? I know 70 miles is nothing, but it still has fine particles & will prolly get slightly acidic. Thanks guys!!

I noticed in the owner's manual it says to change the oil at the start of a new season. For me that is December (after deer season). Should I wait until then or change it now or doesn't it matter. I only have 240 miles on my Nytro.

Id wait, did that on my -06 nytro and my dealer told me not to worry, just run it and do the service when getting it out next winter.

Thanks for the replies guys. I know letting old oil sit for months at a time isn't good. I changed the oil in my '06 in the spring. I'm just questioning whether or not that in 70 miles, that the oil got exposed/used enough to get acidic & cause problems. I know it's only $30 for oil, money isn't the issue at all. It's just the thought that it's a waste of perfectly good oil & my time.

Personally I would just wait until fall for the reasons you stated above. You're not going to hurt anything, but if you're not sure, opt for the cheap insurance and change it.
