Hey guys,
I'm heading out west for my first time this year and just for the trip I am going to be converting my 121" to a 162" and will be making a custom lexan tunnel extension that will be removable so I can convert back and forth. I have not seen anything like this yet so if its already made let me know. LOL
I know there are a fair amount on midwestern'ers that go out there but I cant stomach a seperate mountain sled, and I dont want to run a 136-151 anything in between there because it just too long for how I like to ride.
It will look similar to the one in the picture
Thanks!

Hey Kinger,
I would be worried about the strength of a lexan tunnel extension. The rear bumper/tunnel extension take A LOT of abuse when "re-aligning" the sled due to "improper" placement of the snow machine. I've had a lot of fun ( and got stuck a lot, part of the fun ) with a 144" MM and a 151" Viper riding Togwotee and other places the last 4-5 years. Don't be afraid of a shorter track if it makes it easier for you to accomplish what you are looking to do.
I'm also willing to bet that your first trip out there will change you forever. That's all I'll say for now, but I want to hear your opinion when you return.

I think it would be great. I'd buy one. they need to be engineered to carry 5 gallons of gas though. I agree that a gas can buncing at the end of a long tunnel has to be hell on the mount bolts. Let me know what you come up with.

I will, trust me it would be strong. I just think they look cool with the lexan. Once i get the sled back from the shop I will get it mocked up and so some strength tests
