I don't want to slice and dice some expensive plastic parts, so... Anyone that has done a tunnel extension on a yamaha have any advice? I'm GUESSING this piece needs to be cut into 3, with the middle section being tossed?

I just got the hose covers from a nytro mtx when I did my apex. The plastic just looked like crap after a few years.

I thot most ext kits came with new covers. Oh well.

Looks like you will need to chopped it up as you mentioned if you want to cover the hoses with the factory plastics or as APEX06 mentioned, get some covers from a mtx.

I used a Hartman extension on my Attak. Trimmed the middle section until it fit. I now have an under tunnel exhaust and I removed that section. I left a small tab and used the Nytro style push pins to tie it down.

Go to our website and look at our tunnel extension installation instructions. We show you how to trim the plastic so it stays in one piece. It will look better and stay a bit sturdier than two separate pieces.

;)!

Good links and hopefully someone will find it for future reference! I ended up slicing it in 3 pieces. Looks good and seems secure, but the one piece method would have been better.

You might want to search eBay for replacement and try again. I can't imagine that trim would cost much.

Can we or do we have a spot where these instructions could be put for future reference. Or just a link
