Anybody using a skinz cover on there apex?

Got one from my local dealer..XL size.. tried to put it on today.. doesnt even come close to fitting.. in the directions it says it will fit tight.. but there is no way this thing will fit a good 13-14 inches short.. running stock tunnel so?.. anybody else have this problem?.. any help would be great thanks rocky

I'll be able to tell you in a week as ive got one on order. Silly question but do you have a apex mtn or apexgt?

wow thats weird! maybe they sold you the wrong size?? Ive ordered mine from sierrayamaha and they state its made for the mtn.

Ps whats your steering like when you move the bars back and forth?

whats my steering like?.. it turns left.. and then turns right?.. i think they are suppose to do that..

ha thats funny, no i mean does it have play or slop.
Ive got around 20mm of movement before the skis move.

there is a little slop yes.. not really noticable unless you are on hard pack or like in the garage.. in the pow i cant tell its there anyways

cheers for that i thought mine was little too much. Im going to change the bushes anyway as they are cheep enough.

With your cover have you any pics of it on your sled? i would like to see where its not fitting.

well i put a skinz cover on my attak and love it
best cover I ever had. and they might have sold wrong size. but yah after it gets pulled behind the trailer wind will do its part and losen it up, and then it will fit snug!

well i must agree there is NO WAY that cover will fit right over the whole apex mountain sled. I tried every thing to stretch it over the back and theres no way it fitting, even had two mates help try and stretch it over. Its only made for the standard apex NOT the mountain.

Now im pissed off too!!!

mine is tight on my warrior! you have to kind of pull and tug it like a woman puts on nylons. but it should stretch. start in front and wokr your way back!

I finally got mine to fit... took a come-along to get it to strecht enough.. once it was on.. i left it for about a week.. now it is about right.. still pretty snug.. but can put it on by hand

Funny mines got the yamaha logo down the side and no blue on the front.
Also its a canvas material with stretchy cloth in the middle.
I looked on the yam web site and its the right one for the sled.
What the?????
