Getting really sick of these things, I have a few to replace after every ride and lost my entire skidplate two weeks ago. Makes all the talk about the new Viper and the lack of quality of Cat sleds almost laughable, I'm the only one losing body panels on the trail and tweaking my subframe by putting it on the trailer. I ordered a Roest/MountainTech shorty plate an put it on last night and am impressed, really nice piece. When I was putting everything back together I decided to ditch the plastic push rivets in a couple locations just to give it a try. I used a NutSert I had and a 5/16" bolt with a flat washer in place of the two on the belly plastic near the running boards. I am amazed at how much more rigid the plastic feels. I'm going to be buying some smaller ones that fit in the factory holes and am going to ditch the plastic pieces of crap wherever I can. Would sooner use a bolt and a washer but thats just me.

Wait until the nutserts start spinning in the holes. You'll wish you had the plastic fasteners again. I prefer the dart fasteners over the push pin style and use speed nuts when possible.

Never had an issue with them Grizz. As long as a guy doesn't tighten the #*$&@ out of them and puts a little antisieze on the threads they work fine. The dart ones would be better then what they come with for sure, hell anything is better.

Red Loctite on rivNuts works really well. I always put a bit of red in the hole where you put the rivnut. Once you put them in place, the loctite grips similar to threads.
I now use it for all my rivnut applications, and haven't had one spin yet.
