Anyone ever tried this phazer ram air kit?

I seen that to and was wondering, would not be any good for me due to deep powder riding I do. Mine constantly has snow and ice on the cover and I don't want to have to remember to look at it to keep it cleaned off. That would also add to some more intake noise on the front like that. Plus that kind of increase is probably a bit over blown or everybody would have it on IMO. I will do the Ulmer air box mod next year Alan sounds like a top notch guy to deal with.

$10 get the uni cold air pods.. same thing..

They are too good to be true. 100% increase in airflow should nearly double horsepower. 4-5 additional horsepower as stated in the ad cannot achieve 8-10mph. Ram air pressure at 100 is only .10psi.

$250 to cut a hole in your air box lid, and stick on some Frogzskins. No thank you.

I have Bullseyes and I noticed water in the airbox from snow dust getting past the filters. I went back to my solid lid to prevent this and noticed absolutely no difference in power.

i agree, the uni pods are not a ram air kit, since the air does have to go threw prefilters.. i would consider it a cold air or fresh air kit... the stock air box sucks air in at the bottom rear of the airbox..the hole is about 1" away from the engine.. so it is sucking in hot air from the engine.. not to mention clutch and brake dust too.. b4 i had my air pods i had moisture in my airbox from condensation... hot air + cold plastic = moisture ... the pods deffinitly suck cold air in from the outside.. i held a cigarette in front of them when i got about 2" away at idle the smoke was imediatly sucked into the airbox... i still notice condensation in my airbox but it is only in the lower 1/2 below the factory airfilter..i am adding more fuel with a pc3+more air with the pods+ better flow with the exhaust = HP.... atleast thats what everyone has done to cars and motorcycles to get them to go faster since the invention of the motor... to just add pods, i dont think anyone would notice a hp increase.. to do all 3 of the above.. deff HP increase...i have put duct tape over my pods.. noticed sluggish throttle response and a loss of top end speed by 3-5mph.. i did this test on the same day, the same trail, same air temp.. same everything.. just my 2cents

Ram air does not acheive a practical pressure level until the 200mph range.

So what you're saying is one would have to do a little more tuning before this is benificial? lol.
