I have a Turbo XS RFL (also tried good GReddy) on a Dodge Viper with Paxton S/C. It sounds awsome on the Viper, much better that the Vortech BOV that came with the kit. The same BOV is not even close to as loud on my S/C'd Apex. Both S/C's adding about 10-11 PSI of boost.
I think I may need to find a better source for the manifold vac line that connects to the top of the BOV to get the super loud noise. On my Apex I currently tap into the vac line to the sensor on top (chaincase side) of the throttle body.
The exact BOV sounds much louder on the car. On the car I tap into a vac line from the air conditioning system. I have tried cutting the BOV coil spring down and adding the washers to increase coil pressure. Maybe sled clutching somehow effects BOV noise.
