Just like the title anyone running one of Woodys kits? I've had them in the past and as much as most hate the OD sheave any sled I've run against with his kit goes really well. I'm gonna be running a Ulmers PC5 and airbox mod with 153 studs and Ulmers clutching too. Talking with Woody the other day the kits for the 2011 up Apex is a OD sheave geared down one a resistor to trick the ECU into thinking its colder than it is to add fuel a helix with I think a silver spring. He used the silver spring also in the earlier Apex powerup kits. Woodys a awesome guy and knows his
when it comes to Yammie sleds. just curious if anyone has tried his kit yet.

I dont have the 11 or later Apex and I know this is not what you are asking but a buddy of mine and I have a pair of 2007 Attak gt's that we bought at Woody's and had the power up kits installed. I am here to tell you that these sledds are every bit as quick as a stock 2011 or later apex. If the 2011 or later is improved over that...it is hauling the mail IMHOP!

I dont know anything about the kit, but it seems to me that you would be changing ulmers clutching and ulmers pc5 mapping if you installed that full kit. I would think you need to choose either woodys OR ulmers. JMO

I'm not going with the Woodys kit at all I was more interested in anyone whi had one of Woodys kits in a 2011 up Apex and how the Woodys kit compares to Ulmers kit. Just some comparison was all I wanted. Ideally I'd like to line my Ulmers kit up against a Woodys powerup kit with everything else being close to the same. Just curious for information

I know with my buddies 06 RTX with Woodys kit and my 09 LTX with Ulmers PC3 and Ing module I was slightly faster throughout but it was also the past experience of a Attak vs. shorttrack too.

What really is in the woodys kit?
I bought a sled from that general area and the guy I bought it from had a few things done but not sure if it was from woodys or not.
What was done to mine is geared 22/38, modded muffler, cr10ek plugs, white sec spring and cut primary and the helix as well. Does this rin a bell as being a woodys kit or not?

If I am not mistaken, the 2011 and later Apex Woody's power up kit is not a whole lot different then The power up kit from for the 2006 to 2010 apex and attak. My 2007 power up kit is as follows:
- modified air box
- plus 10 on the fuel setting
- cr10ekg plugs
- windage plates for the secondary clutch
- primary spring
- over drive primary sheeve
- 3 degree timing key
- and the attak upper gear for the apex
This is what you get and is well worth the money. Think I paid an additional 500.00 in addition to sled.

I have run side buy side with an 09 apex ltx and mine being a 10 apex ltx. He has a woodys kit( Has explained) and he was a little faster on the mid range and big end. I would say 6 sled lengths in 2000 ft. The kit works well but haven't seen one on a newer apex with exup yet. Woody knows how to set them up and I would be Ulmer and woody's kit are pretty much the same?
