actually i don't have pic's but its quite easy. You should have two different brackets. the curved bracket (i believe) goes on the brake side (curve downward). Just mount them underneath the wires as close to the grips as you can. the rest is adjustable.

I've seen a post that someone had pictures on how to properly install the handguards, could someone help me find that post again
Must you move your handle bar controls inwards on both sides to allow the mounting brackets to go between the grip and the hanlebar controls?

Yes the throttle side is ver simple, the brake side you remove two screws from the housing , remove cover than loosen two bolts to move unit. I have also seen them installed at the otherside of the brake throttle.

I see you went downward with your brake side handgaurd...that looks like you have more room and dont have the issues i had with my parking brake cable....i ground out a small Area for the cable to set into on my lefthand guard..i never thought of trying to go underneath like you did.
I was wondering, when you turn fully do your guards hit the pointy tips of the windshield?..mine hit abit,so i had to tip my handlebars back more.
