2011 Apex, handwarmers were starting to impress me and then all the sudden right handwarmer quits. thumb and left warmer are burning hot but right is stone cold. Anyone have a solution or what may have caused this?

broken or loose wire, or bad grip. not sure how the 11"s are wired, but there should be 2 wires to each grip, check continuity with a multimeter. its new so warrenty will cover it .

handwarmer fixed, apprantly is more than just me with this problem, guess the added some sort of insulation and whatever the case may be it breaks the setup inside, always the right one too. fyi

I think I have this problem with my 2006 Apex. Right side hand grip warmer is much hotter than the left which is lukewarm at best. Just noticed it last night. Cheap fix = break out the gauntlets!

It seems like I noticed it going hot to warm from time to time and 30miles later, nothing. Didnt matter though, they actually picked up my sled and brought it back, hows that for service

Hey yamahahaapex,
what was the fix?
did they just replace the hand warmer with another one,
i just put the same ones on my 07 apex, they do have a foam backing about 1/8'' thick so the warmer does not touch the steel,
i also have the yamaheaters and with the updated hand warmers i can only run the yamaheaters for the first few minutes in the morning than they start to burn,
they are a lot hotter than the original ones on my 07,
i also put a tight rap of electrical tape over the warmers before i installed the grips, just to protect them as i was sliding the grips over, i don't know if the tape does anything or not, probably doesn't,
i hope this is not going to be a major problem for us, they work so good,
