I have a 2011 xtx with about 4600 miles on it and the other day i was riding and my left handwarmer quit working? anyone else have issues with this if so is there any fix to it other than buy new ones? Hoping to have it fixed by the weekend if possible!
my left went out last week. i couldn't get one from my dealership either...back ordered til March here in the midwest.. I opted to get the accessory kit that includes both sides, grips and connectors so I could salvage this weekends ride.
2000 miles on my 2010 rt. with yamaheaters.
took the yamaheaters off due to an 81 code. I will reinstall the yamahaheaters after the season to see if they cause the code....no time to fitz now.

My buddies hand warmers shorted out with just 700 miles on his sled (code 81). If I remember correctly, you'll be shelling out a pretty penny for a replacement.
On a side note, that's a sweet looking Nytro!

I had one go bad last year. Unplug it and check continuity with an ohm meter. If you have an open circuit there's nothing you can do except replace it.

my left one went out shortly after installing the yamaheater. When it was installed at the factory there was a small kink somewhere in the element. When it finally got some real power running through it burnt out. I hooked up the other side's hand warmer cable and sure enough it didn't fix it so I knew it was the element. I ordered a new grip, rivets, and element from Babbits online. about 35 for all of it.

got a questions, my hand warmers quit, code 81 is on and i cant get any power readings at the connectors while the code is on, the only way i can get a reading is when i test the grips in the diag mode. should the code go out once the grips are unplugged? my sled is 2011 rtx with 700 miles on it
